This was a collaborative effort with local artists to create a positive voice for wild spaces that were threatened by resource extraction. Yarn bombing was selected as way to celebrate the wilderness and create metaphors about caring for our environment. Thirty trees were covered in handmade afghans that were donated by the community in an effort create a voice for our wild spaces. The project went viral increasing attention and eventually, with the effort of many others, culminating in the declaration of a provincial park in 2015.
